Hi there, I’m Bethany—mom of three, fueled by lukewarm coffee, and typing this while the same Peppa Pig episode plays for the 100th time. 👋 Between diaper duty and soccer practice, I’ve been working on something really great: an online marketplace for pregnancy and postpartum care.
This concept came from a place of personal need, and the needs of other moms in my life.
Raise your hand if you left the hospital after 2-3 nights and felt like everyone was saying, “Sayonara! Good luck with that!” but you felt totally clueless.
Why moms (and babies) need more support
- Maternal outcomes in the U.S. still lag; 18.6 women per 100,000 live births died from pregnancy-related causes in 2023 alone—and the rate is far higher for Black moms. (cdc.gov)
- A 2024 survey found 92% of moms never made it to a pelvic-floor PT after birth—even though bladder leaks and back pain complaints were running rampant in the group text. (theoriginway.com)
- And 86% of new mothers said no one gave them guidance on healing that pelvic floor in the first place. (parents.com)
Bottom line: moms need easier access to trustworthy experts now, not after another frantic Google crawl at 2 a.m.

✅ Search & filter by specialty, location, insurance, telehealth, and even bedside-manner vibes. | ✅ Create a free beta profile in under 10 minutes—photo, credentials, pricing, voilà. |
✅ Verified reviews (think Yelp, minus the cranky dinner crowd). | ✅ Collect reviews effortlessly with shareable links—because your happy clients are your best marketing team. |
✅ Helpful & fun content, e.g., “How much does a doula cost?” | ✅ Boost local visibility: moms in Northern VA, DC & Maryland see you first while we’re in beta. |
✅ Zero cost to search or contact providers | ✅ Founding-member perks when we roll out paid tiers in 2026. |
Who you’ll find on day one
- Doulas – prenatal pep-talkers & birth-plan ninjas
- Pelvic-floor specialists – defenders of sneeze-proof jeans
- Lactation consultants – latch whisperers
- Night nurses & newborn-care specialists – the newborn heroes
- Sleep coaches – because “sleep like a baby” is wildly inaccurate
- Perinatal mental-health therapists, nutritionists, acupuncturists & more on the way
Why we’re starting in the DMV
- I live here!
- Northern Virginia, DC & Maryland boast a vibrant birth-worker community ready for a digital home.
- A tight regional beta lets us squash bugs faster than a toddler stomps Goldfish.
- Going national is next (and yes, providers outside the DMV can still join the early-access list).
